Unminded was an Atlanta-based Alternative 4 piece rock band, active from 1994-1999. They recorded one self-titled album, and were working on a second album when they disbanded in 1999. Members Lisa King (vocals, bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion) and Mike Lynn (guitar) would play together again in the psychedelic, gothic band The Hot Place, who have released two albums, “The Language of Birds” (2015) and in 2023, the self-titled, “The Hot Place,” on No Big Wheel Records. Members of The Hot Place also include Jeff Calder (guitar, The Swimming Pool Q’s, The Glenn Phillips Band) and Robert Schmid (drums, The Swimming Pool Q’s, Cruis-O-Matic, Blasting Cap). Several tracks on their new album were mixed with additional arranging and instrumentation by Ed Stasium (Ramones, Smithereens, Replacements). Lisa is the co-creator of No Big Wheel Records and Sashimmy, collaborating with Penny Courtney.

Browning Mummery is the main recording project of Brisbane based artist Andy Lonsdale. Formed in Sydney in 1983 there were soon several cassette releases on his own boxmusik label. Over the years Browning Mummery has worked with many collaborators such as Max Hawk (Electric Tipi Collective), John Murphy (Whirlywirld, Krang, SPK), Robert Cumings (ismISM, Actual Remains). The track "C25T25 (Aethyr MIx)" is an outtake from the forthcoming 40th Anniversary CD release GHOST TRAVELERS, and features Michael Sheridan on guitar. Considered to be the godfather of Dark Wave music in Australia, Browning Mummery celebrates this year four decades of uncompromising music. Michael Tee is a member of Sydney group Scattered Order active since 1979, and was one half of the influential record label M Squared. As a solo artist he has released music as A Cloakroom Assembly, Space THERAPy Robinson, and under his own name. Collaborations include Ya Ya Choral with Fiona Graham and Patrick Gibson, Frosty with Shane Fahey, and TEE - MARSHALL with Marshall Rochford. Deutronium from Space THERAPy Robinson is from the first release by that project titled "Space Therapy Robinson Vol. 1".

Musician and Visual Artist Penny Courtney (Spectremen, The Von Vons, Hexotica, The New Synthetics, Haxdan, Hypnagogic State, Tenguzame, The Neutrons) has been working creatively on various art and musical projects since the late 1980’s, including an early extensive experimental electronic recording project with Lisa King, Threshold. Penny is a founding creator of No Big Wheel Records and Sashimmy, which features her blend of electronica, industrial, psychobilly, dance, cut-ups, and post-punk music, including the collaborative projects The Von Vons, The Wolverine Dark,  and Hexotica. Penny is a curator, interviewer, and documentarian of independent cassette culture, along with a core group of musicians Andy Lonsdale, Garry Bradbury, Mitch Jones, and Ian Andrews. Many of these artists are in the box set MAGNETOPHONICS: AUSTRALIAN UNDERGROUND MUSIC 1978-1984, a seven LP survey of Australian experimental, industrial, and post-punk released in 2016 on Vinyl-on-Demand records. Mitch Jones is a member of Scattered Order, active since 1979, and was one half of the influential M Squared record label. He has played in The Barons, Scattered Order, Lint, My Name is Mannering. His solo project The Little Hand of the Faithful has had six releases. The tracks "You Can't Kick a Fiat", and "Amphetamine Sandpaper" are from the seventh TLHOTF release coming in 2024.

A curator of local culture and synchronicity, Atlanta musician Albert Gresens (Engine, The Jung Generation, Album Gatefold, Alien God Noise Transmissions, The Heavy Light Experiment) brings his love of analog guitar pedals, drone, trance, and psychedelia to a list of releases on Sashimmy. Records. Albert has released several singles under the name Album Gatefold, alongside works with Nick Trakas a.k.a. Threshold was an experimental, electronic recording project, from 1987-1991. Members included Lisa King (songwriting, vocals, guitar, keys), Penelope Courtney (songwriting, vocals, keys), and Freight (songwriting, drums, drum programming, guitar, keys). The band was one of the very first bands listed in the Atlanta Music Guide as “Industrial.” Most of the project’s material was recorded on a TASCAM Syncaset 238 Cassette Recorder by Freight at Icebox Studios, in ATL. The project focused on looping, sampling, midi, and experimental noise. Instruments often used were the Ensoniq SQ-1 Plus, and Peavy DPM-3 keyboards, Casio SK-1, and MT 40 & 500 keyboards, Lexicon 480L Digital Reverb unit, and an Alesis HR-16 drum machine. Sometimes things like speakers, hubcaps, pots, pans, and bowls were used to create percussion sounds. The recording project made three cassettes, which will be remastered and released on Sashimmy Records in 2024. Penny and Lisa also collaborated for one cassette, on a project called, “Sampling Footstomp” in 1990. Legend has it that the Casio SK-1 they used for Sampling Footstomp was actually possessed, and one demonic sample is still stuck in the machine, and cannot be erased. Penny and Lisa continue to collaborate on projects The Von Vons, The Wolverine Dark, and Hexotica.
